Proposal for GFWC VA State Project

2008-2010

I propose that a portion of the Virginia Tech Memorial Fund be continued as the state project for the 2008-2010 administration -- the raising of funds for the purchase of a rescue vehicle for the VA Tech Rescue Squad.  This all volunteer, student organized and operated squad shares our objectives of service to others and we have an opportunity to assist them in a significant way.   

We have been made aware of their need for an additional vehicle and I believe that our Federation volunteers would rally in support of a project to meet that need.  We also have the unique opportunity of working with GFWC in this initiative as they have voted to support GFWC Virginia’s Virginia Tech Memorial Fund recommendation.
