GFWC Membership Incentives
Your club can recognize members with 50 years of service to GFWC by ordering a GFWC 50 Year Gold Pin. Contact GFWC Headquarters – www.GFWC.org/LoyaltyPins or submit the form found in the GFWC Club Manual, section Forms. Members who were previously awarded a 50 year Gold Card may obtain a 50 Year Gold Pin for $5. A GFWC 25 Year Silver Pin may also be ordered to recognize members with 25 years of service. Contact GFWC or refer to your GFWC Club Manual for details.
Recruit new members and fill out the Treasure Chest Coupon (found in your District Handbook) for each new member recruited between February 1, 2010 and January 31, 2011. Coupons should be mailed to your district Second Vice President.

Each new member will receive a note of welcome from the district and from GFWC Virginia.

The registration fee to attend the 2011 GFWC Virginia Convention will be paid for each district’s top recruiter and each district’s top recruiter will be recognized at the 2011 GFWC Virginia Convention. The GFWC Virginia member who sends the most coupons, one for each new member recruited, to the district Membership Chairman, will receive a special Dogwood Treasure.

All district recruiters will be eligible for the grand prize drawing of a “Federation Treasure Chest.” The drawing will be held during the 2011 GFWC Virginia Convention. Each coupon sent to the district Membership Chairman increases your chance to win!
Completion of the Treasure Chest Coupon will also serve to document member recruitment for GFWC STAR Pin Recipients. Club members who recruit 5-9 new members receive a white star; 10-14 new members: a red star; 15-19 new members: a blue star; 20-24 new members: a silver star and 25 plus new members: a gold star. The star recruitment award is cumulative. Members who recruited five new members during the previous administration will be eligible to receive a red, blue or even a GOLD star for continuing their recruitment success during the 2010-2012 administration. All completed coupons sent to your district Second Vice President will be forwarded to GFWC Virginia Second Vice President, Wanda Burley. She will keep a record of each and will order pins from GFWC.
Your club could win a $50.00 GFWC award for work in implementing the GFWC Membership Program. GFWC will also have $50 grants available to clubs to assist them in recruiting new members.
